Lemonade Day Twin Cities - June 5th, 2011

Lemonade Day registration is now open.  This is a fantastic way to teach youth about starting and running a business, plus all kids who sign up will receive a free backpack and informational workbook!  You can register online HERE, but you will need to go pick up your backpack, locations can be found HERE

What is Lemonade Day?

It is a FUN, FREE, city-wide event where YOUTH learn how to START, OWN and OPERATE their own business through a lemonade stand. Each child gets to MAKE and KEEP THE MONEY they earn. Youth of all ages learn to set goals, develop a business plan, establish a budget, seek investors, provide customer service and give back to their community.

Lemonade Day is Simple
First, kids register, with a caring adult, and receive a bright yellow backpack that contains an informational workbook for the child and the caring adult. These books will outline the steps necessary to have a successful lemonade stand.

Sunday, June 5, 2011 is the "official" Lemonade Day. Each young entrepreneur will set up their lemonade stand and sell, sell, sell their lemonade!

Finally, and best of all the young entrepreneurs will get to keep the money they make! However we encourage them to spend some, save some and donate some to their favorite charity!
