Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry - CLOSED

Just a note to let you know that although registration was supposed to be open through today, Oct 15th, Sears has closed the registration due to overwhelming response.

Sears received about 25,000 applicants in 24 hours!!!  That's amazing, and shows you that the need is great!  Sears will begin collecting donations for this wonderful program beginning on Nov 1st, if you are able to donate at all, please consider donating to this program.  The more donations that Sears can receive, the more families that will benefit from this program.

From their website:
"Thank you for your interest in the Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry.

We have received an overwhelming response to the annual program and reached approximately 25,000 registrants in less than 24 hours after activating the site. Accordingly, we have closed registration while the validation process is underway.

Beginning on Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, Sears will invite America to donate* to the Heroes at Home Wish Registry. Through these contributions and others, we are able to provide military families with Sears gift cards and help make this holiday season a joyous one.

Sears appreciates all the sacrifices that our military members and their families make for our country and we wish them all a wonderful holiday season.

Thanks as always, for your continued support!

*DONATIONS MADE TO THE WISH REGISTRY ARE NOT TAX DEDUCTIBLE AND WILL BE USED TO PURCHASE SEARS GIFT CARDS FOR REGISTERED FAMILIES.

SEE STORE OR SEARS.COM/HEROESATHOME FOR DETAILS."
