Check out your community calendar (visit city hall or check their website).  You will most likely be very surprised at how many free events may be happening in your community.  While your checking out your community - don't forget to check out your local library, often tmes they will offer children's story times or classes (such as gardening, quilting, etc) for free!
Also, check out your communnity education catalogs.  They may be offering free classes or events forchildren and adults alike!
Lastly, check out your local newspaper as there may be free events listed in that!

Volunteer
There are so many wonderful organizations out there that need your time!  What a wonderful way to spend your free time, contributing your gifts to make a positive contribution to your community!
I have done some volunteer work with my 6 year old son, and what an amazing experience it was for both of us!  It was wonderful to teach him to be charitable and giving, and also for him to have the feelings of accomplishment and giving back to his community!
Again you can check with your city hall to help you find orgaizations in your area that need help or Check ot the following websites:

Church
