Did you know that you are entitled to your credit report once a year for free by federal law?  You don't need to sign up for membership with a company, or a trial membership in order to receive your free credit report.   

Why is it important to know your score? The more insight you have about credit, the easier it is to strengthen your financial well-being. Your personal credit report contains details about your financial behavior and identification information. This user-friendly report is sometimes called a credit file or a credit history. Getting a copy of your credit report makes it easy for you to understand what lenders see when they check your credit history.  It is not only lenders that are requesting credit reports; employers, landlords, and others as permitted by law!

Prevent and fight identity theft by knowing and monitoring what is on your credit report. is a centralized service for consumers to request free annual credit reports. It was created by the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies - Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. provides consumers with the secure means to request and obtain a free credit report once every 12 months from each of the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies in accordance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act).  You can request, view and print your report via a secure internet connection.  Requests can also be made via phone or mail.
